Sounds good to me ~

She follows Ruby deeper into the room; a peculiar looking place, extravagant in ways Snow isn't quite used to seeing. But it is a lovely place nevertheless. Not that such things truly mattered. It was the company she cared about. Their location was trivial at best.

Snow sheds her jacket in preparation to settle in. Sets the cheesecake box on what looks to be the most appropriate flat surface to do so. Worlds of cheesecakes and movies are still unfamiliar territory to her, but they do sound lovely.

"It's so good to see you. I'm glad you're safe," she says, almost as a sigh of relief.

Ruby's not used to it, either. Not the wealth - not this place's expectations... None of it. The one constant was Snow. The relatively innocent, never been to Storybrooke Snow...

She was still made of iron, though. She couldn't help but feel a spark of pride over how well Snow was holding up.

"I couldn't leave you," she pointed out, giving Snow a kiss on her forehead. "Now come on; I think I found a good movie..." Maybe. She didn't really trust what the capitol would count as entertainment.

There is a fond protectiveness or sorts, as well as the comfortable sensation of security she finds in her friend's words. Sometimes she isn't sure that she deserves a friend like Ruby.

"Okay," she agrees and follows Ruby toward the sofa in front of the large flat screened panel.

She removes her shoes before she sits; peculiar ornamental things clearly not designed for people who do much walking. "Can you even remember the last time when it was just the two of us getting to spend time together? Have fun?"

She's trying... but she isn't sure that she can remember, herself.

That was what Ruby thought, sometimes. She wasn't sure herself that she deserved someone like Snow... the one constant in her life. Her pack. If friends could be soulmates, then... Snow White was hers.

"I... Um. I think it was when we were in the forest," she admitted. "Between getting chased by soldiers..." It had at least been simpler back then. Harsh and dangerous, but simpler.

Snow gives a small sigh through her smile and shakes her head, "Some things never change, I suppose." Its far easier to make light of the situation. Especially when it seems to be true. Why are they always on the run or under a curse or trapped or poisoned or jinxed?! After all this, didn't they deserve a break?

Well, that was why she was here, wasn't it?

To escape all that. At least for a moment.

"You look good," she tells her, after finally able to get a real, good look. She looks healthy. Unharmed. "Have you been treated well here?"

"Everything we want," she promised. As long as they keep fighting. But Ruby doesn't feel the need to remind Snow of that. It's not like either of them are going to be forgetting it any time soon.

"I haven't really been here much longer than you, anyway," she pointed out. Maybe a day or two. Long enough, though. Time without Snow was time worrying about her. Considering everything they had been through, she couldn't help but feel fear.

"Good," she decides on that as her answer. It doesn't sound permanent though; the answer that Ruby gave. She was good. They were both good. For now.

But good seemed like such a fleeting, flickering thing; . Like a small candle braving a windstorm. Just a tiny speck of light in the darkness. But at least, here and now, she and Ruby can huddle around it. Protect it. Nurture it.

"I'm glad," Snow continues. She can't even think about the alternatives right now. Doesn't want to even think about thinking about it. So she changes the subject.

"So, what are we watching?" she's actually quite curious, and she tucks her bare feet beneath her on the sofa, settling in as if it were and old habit.

It didn't matter, anyway; even if the candle went out, even if the wick got wet - because neither of them were letting go of the candle. So what if "good" ran out? They'd make it happen all over again; and again and again - until they could finally transfer the flame of that candle to a roaring fire place.

Their cabin in the woods. She still thought about it, sometimes. Without anyone trying to kill them. Without complications.

She settled herself next to Snow, arm half looping around the woman, squeezing the side. "I don't know," she admitted, glancing at the TV. "The movies aren't really like home..."
